The Department of Computer Engineering was established in the year 2019.. Having started with a four-year undergraduate program, B. E. (Computer Engineering). Computer Engineering is the most flourishing discipline that cultivates at the crossroad of new trends in computer science. It provides the most demanding skills one can learn to excel in his/her profession.

Department of Computer Engineering is committed to excellence in skilling and teaching a sense of pride and confidence in our students. The objective is to empower our students with the latest technical knowledge and skills by providing them with the best teaching faculty, lab facilities, excellent development environment, and excellent infrastructure. Every year various technical as well as non-technical competitions are arranged and organized by the department & students to enables industry professionals to witness the emerging talent and provide professional opportunities to the candidates. The motivation is not just to nurture their technical skills but to provide professional grooming and guidance so that our students come-up as thorough professionals and inspiring individuals.

The department has the latest and new infrastructure according to changing needs. The goal of the department is to establish a state-of-the-art computing environment to develop competent computer engineers imbibed with the spirit of professionalism and responsible citizenship.

Campus-wide IT infrastructure with lease-line connectivity of 200 Mbps is managed by the department and is accessible to all students and staff. Libraries are enriched with heaps of books and a good collection of reputed International and National Journals, magazines, e-books.

Dr. D. Y. Patil College of engineering and innovation has Campus-wide collaborations with industries, aided in bridging the gap between academics and industries. Industry offered projects, pieces of training, workshops, and experts’ lectures provide students, faculties with excellent exposure to the world of practice. Incredible technical efforts and enthusiasm of students and due guidance of faculties drew unique opportunities in giants like Microsoft, Google, IBM, Cognizant, Accenture, Tata Consultancy Services, Persistent Systems Pvt. Ltd. and many more.
To unleash students’ talent, every year, the department organizes technical festivals and project competition. Invitees from renowned institutes and industries are invited to judge the competence of the students. Exploring the other world of talent, our students have shown excellence in sports, cultural, and social activities.
